Dogs
On occasion we may be able to welcome your furry friend; please contact us prior to booking to see if this is possible. Typically there is no more than one well-behaved dog on-site at any one time. Dogs are only permitted in public areas when on a lead.
Honey and Wine
We harvest our own honey on-site. If you’re interested in learning about the world of bees, what’s involved in keeping them and how honey is obtained from the hive we’d love to share what we do with you; please don’t hesitate to ask. You can even buy a pot to take home with you.
We’re delighted to work in partnership with Xavier, the sommelier from our local Michelin starred restaurant Maison Dallais-La Promenade. He selects Loire Valley wines specifically for our guests, will always welcome you to his cave to discuss your wine requirements and has the advantage of speaking fluent English.
We also recommend the wide variety of wines from the small vineyards of Rousseau Freres and Caves Cathelineau. Why not try the Pinot Meunier from Rousseau Freres? It’s a little known red wine grape widely grown in France and used in the production of sparkling wine but rarely used on wine labels.
Another long standing favourite of ours is the wine of Ampelidae.
