Walking: There are numerous signposted walks in the area all having their own leaflet with clear maps, instructions and points of interest. Walks cover a range of distances from 3km to 25km and range from discovering a town to seeing the wonderful open countryside of the area.


A range of signposted cycle-routes have been created in the area, each with their own maps, instructions and points of interest similar to those of the walking routes.

There are many excellent restaurants in the area, including a Michelin starred restaurant in Le Petit Pressigny. We will be pleased to recommend restaurants in all the local places such as Cussay, Descartes, Ligueil, Loches and Le Grand Pressigny as well as in Tours and other towns.

Chinon is renowned for its red wines.
Vouvray, close to Tours, and the area to the east of Tours produces excellent white and sparkling wines.
Saumur produces excellent white and red wine.
